Pikachu, Growlithe, and Granbull: My Ideal Starter Pokémon in the Pokémon World
Wouldn't it be amazing if you could be transported into the world of Pokémon and choose any three starter Pokémon to start your adventure? As someone passionate about the Pokémon franchise, the choice comes down to three iconic Pokémon that embody different aspects of what I value in a starter: Pikachu, Growlithe, and Granbull. Let's explore why these choices were made and the reasons behind them.
Pikachu: The Ultimate Cutie
Oh, how could I forget the iconic Pikachu? Pikachu is not just my absolute favorite Pokémon; it is the cutest Electric-type Pokémon ever. From the vibrant electric sparks it emits to its clever personality, Pikachu is a staple in anyone's Pokémon journey. Its cheerful presence could brighten the gloomiest of days, making it an excellent choice to start any adventure.
Ultimate Good Boi: Growlithe
Another contender for my list is Growlithe. Growlithe is a powerful fire-type Pokémon that has won my heart over the years. In my first ever Pokémon experience, I started with a Blastoise, and let's just say, water-types might not be my forte. I eventually moved on to a Pidgeot because I felt the need to nurture the growth of my fire pup, Growlithe. When I finally obtained an Arcanine, I knew my journey had truly begun. Growlithe is my favorite Pokémon, not just because of its cuteness but because it-fill in other reasons.
Shiny Mareep: For the Cute Factor
Another starter Pokémon that draws my attention is Mareep. Mareep may not be the strongest starter, but I love the sheep’s cute factor. In Pokémon Go, I can't seem to get a shiny Mareep, and the thought of that just makes me giggle.
Dragonite: Ideal for a Pet Pokémon
If I were to choose a starter Pokémon without any world constraints, my ideal choice would be a Dratini. Dratini and its evolved forms, Dragonair and Dragonite, evoke a certain love and admiration in me. Dragonite is one of my all-time favorite Pokémon, symbolizing power, intelligence, and kindness. With a Dragonite, you'd have a high-intelligence Pokémon that can fly at supersonic speeds, making it incredibly useful. Additionally, it is a great battler and known for its kind-hearted nature. However, it is essential to note that Dragonite is number 703 in the official Pokémon order, which is a downside.
Granbull: The Safe Pet Choice
Returning to reality, I would select Granbull as my starter Pokémon for a real-life situation. For starters, Granbull is cuddly and poses no real threat to me or anyone I care about. Furthermore, it is not too big to fit into my house, making it a practical choice. Unlike some other Pokémon, Granbull is a fai ry-type, which minimizes the risk of injury or harm. Its description as intimidating but still very nice and kind makes it a great companion. Plus, it fulfills all the criteria for a suitable pet Pokémon: it's a decent battler, not aggressive, and fairy types in general do not have the risk of injuring due to high temperatures like Flareon.
Ultimately, choosing a starter Pokémon is a deeply personal decision. For me, Pikachu, Growlithe, and Granbull represent different aspects of what I find appealing and safe in a starter Pokémon. Each has its unique charm and benefits, whether for battle or companionship. In the vast world of Pokémon, the choice of a starter can set the stage for a lifelong journey, filled with excitement, growth, and friendship.
